The weird and wonderful family
created by The New Yorker cartoonist Charles Addams comes to
devilishly delightful life in a Broadway musical starring Tony
Award winners Roger Rees as Gomez and Brook
Shields as Morticia.
It's a nightmare for Gomez and Morticia. Their little girl has
suddenly become a young woman, and what's worse, has fallen
deliriously in love with a sweet, smart young man from a
respectable family. Yes, Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess
of darkness, has a "normal" boyfriend, and it's a
shocking development that turns the Addams house upside down when
they are forced to host a dinner for the young man and his
parents.
This magnificently macabre new show is created by Jersey Boys
authors Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, Drama Desk-winning
composer/lyricist Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party),
choreographer Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys) and Olivier
Award-winning director/designers Phelim McDermott & Julian
Crouch (Shockheaded Peter).
Recommended for audiences 8 years and up.
